8th National Conference of Pakistan Phytopathological Society

The Phytopathological Society of Pakistan was established in 1983 as first platform in the country for those interested in the subject. Since then we are working to popularise the science of Plant Pathology in this region. We have successfully conducted 8th National Conference on Plant Pathology under the umbrella of this society. The conference mainly dedicates to review the current status and advances of plant pathology and sharing of new ideas and achievements globally. On behalf of the Society, the organizing committee invited all members of the plant pathology community to join at Department of Plant Pathology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad on November 28 & 29, 2011.

CONFERENCE THEME:

Interest in science of Plant Pathology is increasing globally due to persistent high food losses from diseases, contamination and spoilage. World’s rising demand of food with escalating population is becoming a challenge for us. The main theme of this 8th National Conference, PPS was “CHALLANGES AND OPTIONS FOR PLANT HEALTH MANAGEMENT”. The was organized under the umbrella of Pakistan Phytopathological Society and provide a forum to Plant Pathologists and those interested in related issues to share their research and ideas in the field.
